Connecting modules from raspberrypi to pc?

There are rangefinders from RaspberryPi. Is it possible to connect them to a Linux PC and receive data from them?

You can, but you probably need some kind of controller.

There are many options with their pros and cons:
1) There are many motherboards with gpio like these.
2) There are boards like these with a bunch of gpio.
3) There are pribludy.
4) There are many firmware for arduin that turn it into a usb device controlled directly from the sharp \ java \ c++ \ c code using its own library.
