Connecting an audio amplifier to a computer hdmi vs toslink?
is there any difference (in objective reality and not in audiophile mythology) when connecting an amplifier to a computer between the following options:
1) HDMI to a TV, from there TosLink to an amplifier (it is clear that in this case the sound goes to the amplifier while the TV shows video from this hdmi port )
2) HDMI to the amplifier, from there HDMI to the TV, for example, this is possible in solo 9 c
3) TosLink from the audio card to the amplifier.
common sense suggests that in all three cases the amplifier will receive the same digital signal, but maybe there are some pitfalls?
