Connecting a portable speaker to a phone on Windows Phone 8.1?

The problem is exactly what! I own a phone running Windows Phone 8.1. When you connect a wired speaker, thanks to the features of this OS, the phone recognizes the speaker as headphones and the sound is very quiet. Does anyone know how to get around this "bug"?
