Computer configuration for graphics work

Good day,
Problem:
My sister is a graphic designer (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
At the moment she has a computer with the following configuration:

CPU type: DualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2200 MHz (10 x 220) 3800+
Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-M55plus-S3G v1 Mainboard
chipset: nVIDIA GeForce 6100, AMD Hammer
System memory: 2944 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM
Video adapter: NVIDIA GeForce 6100 (256 MB)
Disk storage: SAMSUNG SP0802N (80 GB, 7200 RPM, Ultra-ATA/133)

The computer starts to slow down, mainly when rendering effects in Illustrator.

I am not well versed in graphic editors and vector image processing, so please tell me how to improve the performance of this system in graphic applications with a little bloodshed. If this system is hopelessly outdated, please advise, if possible, an inexpensive configuration for comfortable work with graphics.

The CPU is responsible for rendering. The number of cores does not play a significant role, since this is Windows.
Therefore, Photoshop will use a maximum of 2 cores, with the second partially.
90% of the work is done only by the central processor - this is the bottleneck.
For Photoshop, the availability of memory is very important, since when working with A4 format files, for example, after 15-20 minutes 1.5-2GB will be occupied for intermediate data and Windows and Photoshop itself will start throwing this data onto the screw, so it is important to have a lot of RAM 4GB or more. Swap will be used anyway. therefore, if it is possible, then buy a separate hard drive and transfer a photoshop swap to it, depending on the amount of RAM and the size of the files that you will process, the performance will increase from 5 to 40%.
The GPU practically does not participate in the redirection, more precisely, Illustrator does 2 redirections:
1. calculation of mathematical forms to create a drawing - 75% of the work
2. displaying the image on the screen - 25% of the work
The video card is responsible for point 2

little bloodshed: I would add RAM and change the hard (the motherboard seems to support sata, which means there will definitely be an increase even if you take an average hdd)

I am also not very knowledgeable in rendering hardware, but nevertheless it seems to me that video cards with a larger memory size are needed for such work, because. rendering eats up a lot of resources and it is desirable that these resources do not have to be taken out of the vidyuhi.

Для перечисленных программ нужно много процессора и памяти 4Гб (это минимум).
Если есть деньги то можно купить 2 винчестера и вынести своп Адобовских программ на другой диск, тот же фотошоп/иллюстратор гонят большие объемы данных между оперативкой и винчестером.
Ели много в иллюстраторе работаете то нужно память+процессор.
Видеокарту современную и офигенно дорогую не нужно, так как большую часть работы все равно будет считать центральный процессор, но современная видеокарта тоже снимет нагрузку с процессора (даже бюджетный вариант)
Системы на RAID сборках винчестеров говорить не буду, насколько я понял вам оно не нужно если сравнивать с текущей конфигураций.
Итог:
1. Памяти оперативки — минимум 4Гб (не нужно гнаться за супердорогой и супербыстрой)
2. We choose a new video card (not the most expensive, but always on new chipsets)
3. Winchester 7200 rpm
4. For the rest of the funds we buy a more powerful processor :)
5. If the funds remain, we take the second hard drive 7200 revolutions
6. If the funds remain, we buy another 4GB of memory
7. If there are funds left - this is strange and most likely you made the question incorrectly, announce the budget in the subject

Approximately 12k out. Another PSU is about 2k: something from TT or FSP.
