Chrome. Search in address bar like in firefox?

When entering a word in the omnibox, it does not want to search for it in the entire history, but only in recent addresses.
Perhaps someone knows a way to make the omnibox search through the entire history, like firefox does?

About:flags just recently made the item "Enable better omnibox history matching" (beta, dev)

I have a reverse question. Firefox 4 introduced a huge delay when typing in the address bar - up to a minute. It does not even show sites that have just been closed.
