It is necessary to assemble a server under a domain controller on win server 2012 for 50 users, and on it is a file server, for user files and backups. I will also probably install the kav endpoint securiti control center on it.
And perhaps a funny question from me as from a person who is not familiar with server hardware, are there no drivers on a regular computer for socket 1150 under win server 2012? and it is obligatory to take a server platform?

I did not find drivers for asus mother under win server 2012 on asus official website. Is it possible to install win server 2012R2 on a normal non-server mother?

Any computer on a not the cheapest motherboard from a normal manufacturer, i5, 16G, 120G SSD for OS, a disk for a file cleaner, a disk for a second copy of a file cleaner, a disk for archives. The size depends on the size of the file cleaner.
I have servers spinning on a regular Gigabyte office hardware under 1155 socket. True, 2008. As far as I remember, I did not install any drivers. Everything just picked up.
Try to allocate 2 hours of time and put 2012 on your working computer (any fresh free computer of one of the 50 users who is on vacation / business trip) - and everything will become clear.
