Choosing an inexpensive gaming laptop

At the moment I’m choosing a laptop for work and entertainment, so I choose from gaming ones ( I hope i7 will pull not only games ), I settled on 2 models:

Asus N56VZ (N56VZ-S3062H)
Lenovo IdeaPad Y580A (59-346030)

I tend to lenovo more (from for video cards), but the reviews about it are a little alarming (hdd, overheating, keyboard deflection), I would like to hear reviews about it.
PS I will be happy with an alternative option within ~ $ 1000.

Asus N56VZ (N56VZ-S3062H)
Definitely recommend. Although the model is a little outdated, I continue to use it with pleasure (I bought it back in the summer, at the dawn of the Ivy bridge). Actually, the idea to take a closer look at this laptop was inspired by the habra community. Goals pursued exactly the same as you.

I won’t specifically say for these, but personally I was disappointed in the quality of Lenovo. A couple of years ago I took a lenovo y560 for the same tasks. He handled carefully, in less than a year the matrix and hard flew. The battery degraded - at the minimum performance settings, on the built-in video card and with Wi-Fi turned on, it did not even last two hours. The build quality was also frustrating - the key began to stick, some rubber gaskets fell off on their own (on the lid, those that do not allow you to close the laptop closely), on the off matrix you can see the print from the keyboard, the ubiquitous play of plastic parts ... well, its nafik, now on the macbook
