Choosing a simple Eink reader for reading scanned djvu and pdf

Greetings.

I choose a simple, inexpensive, 6-inch screen reader for an older person. The main requirement is that in addition to reading the main formats (fb2, etc.), there is a need to read scanned books in djvu format. It is clear that you can convert to pdf, but this does not change the essence.

On the readers that I used (b & n nook, amazon kindle), it is impossible to comfortably read scanned djvu \ pdf, either the font is too small, or scrolling is inconvenient, with scaling problems.

In addition, the Russian interface is very desirable, because. a man of the old school and is on friendly terms with English in so far as.

Most likely, some “Russian” or “Ukrainian” reader will do. they are oriented towards such formats.

I would be very grateful for advice from real users of such

OBNV readers. As far as I understand, theoretically, you can programmatically correctly scale a pdf, relative to the center of the text, and show half a page. If this is implemented somewhere, it would be very cool to know where.

you won’t read a 6-inch PDF or deja vu, much less a “middle-aged” person. Need a big reader.

If for scanned ones, then only perhaps some kind of poketbook 903, with an almost ten-inch screen.

I think only Kindle DX. And that's not the fact that it will be convenient. Readers for DJVU and technical literature are not intended yet.

Rendering djvu and pdf requires a more powerful processor than in eink readers - otherwise the pages will change very slowly. And the display is at least 10 inches. Even on the iPad, it is not comfortable to read this - but you can, if you really need to. On reading rooms you just break your eyes.

6 "for pdf / djvu they don’t roll. Very inconvenient scaling, the page is divided into 4 parts, while you read it, you get tired.
Therefore, Kindle DX - PDFs - are like family (in fact, they are), everything is wonderful and excellent.
Or think about not e-ink-ah, the same iPad ...
