Choosing a powerful router for your home?
Good afternoon!
Comrades, help me decide on the choice of a router.
I really want to solve the problem of downloading torrents not to a laptop, but to an external HDD, with further playback on TV.
Unfortunately, there are no wires, there are only PLC adapters, and wireless connections.
Only 3 TVs, two on android, they need to be viewed from the storage. And there is also a TV set with an IPTV prefix.
As always, we need stability and reliability!
I choose from the below, the budget is 10k.
Xiaomi Mi WiFi Wireless Smart Router Dual-Band 2....
Keenetic Giga III
Mikrotik hAP AC
Upd. Of course, first of all, you need a router. If he copes with the functions of nas, well, if not, then later I will screw separately nas
Upd 2. In addition to the indicated TVs from the load, there are also: 2 phones, ps4, laptop (surf)
Upd 3. Another wifi router ASUS RT-AC66U has entered the game , on the forums it is loved more by kinetics!
Done As a result, I bought asus, so far only updated it to the latest regular firmware.
Connected HDD via USB. Downloads torrents, TV plays movies from HDD. The speeds have increased! Everything works until it falls off and hangs, I'll watch it for a couple of weeks. Later I will decide whether to roll an alternative or not.
There is a lot of information on w3bsit3-dns.com on sabzh

Take ASUS RT-AC66U, it will be perfect with Merlin firmware. I set mine up once and again and never remembered again
Need one device?
Then Mikrotik, unfortunately, is crossed out. It has RouterOS installed, which can neither download torrents nor distribute content.
From the rest I vote for zyxel. The first keenetic works 5 years works 24/7. During this time, the power supply was replaced (a voltage drop appeared), and the hard disk (for a larger disk) without data loss.
There is always an option: a separate router + TD, a separate torrent downloader with Wi-Fi connected to the TV. Reliability and convenience will be greater.
The budget will be a little more, the dollar is no longer a cake.
Keenetic II copes with the task you described.
And everything works out of the box.
On the transmission (torrent downloader), the schedule is set to download only at night. You can connect to the transmission through a mobile application.
DLNA server is running. You can also share the folder via cifs (windows network folders).
Not so long ago, it became possible to install third-party packages from the entware repository, but unfortunately the stability of this function does not suit me.
If the connected disk is not constantly pulled from the router, there will be no problems, otherwise sometimes you have to check the disk for errors.
There is also an Internet availability check utility that allows you to switch to a backup channel in the absence of the Internet.
If you have a lot of TV, then I do not recommend Mikrotik ...
They have problems with DHCP snooping, and therefore multicast loads the channel very much.
Mikrotik SMB also has a weak side, I have a 500GB connected external device, when I download something from it,
the processor loads 100%.
I bought a good Xiaomi Mi WiFi mini router here in this online store ru-mi.com/router-xiaomi-mi-wifi-mini-belyiy The router works great, never fails. The quality is excellent, and now Xiaomi has gained an excellent reputation in Russia and many people buy products from this company. In general, I recommend this online store as one of the best!
