Choosing a portable ultrabook for programming, $1000-$1500?

I want to find a productive ultrabook for programming. The main thing is to keep charging well, and also cope with the tasks that will be assigned to it. I do web programming. Interested mainly in versions with a screen of 12-13 inches.

I read reviews, they write that they do not hold out of the promised 10 and 8 hours. For me, this is a significant disadvantage. And also with the size of the SSD is difficult to decide.

These are all wet dreams of marketers.
No laptop holds so much, only if it is at maximum energy saving and looking at the desktop without moving the mouse - then it can be.
Macbook lasts about 2-3 times longer than any normal laptop when loaded with a bunch of software / frontend builders / dockers, etc.
Approximately 3-5 hours depending on the intensity of use.
It can be more in other use cases, but not much. For example, if you watch something in the player with the rest of the software turned off, then it even tends to 6+ hours. At a normal brightness level (50-80%), it is natural that at least something is visible.
If you run any game that loads the laptop so that it goes to 100% on the processor, it sits down in ~ 1.5 hours.
Windows laptops with or without load last 1.5-2.5 hours without power saving. (Windows with energy saving is a slideshow, it makes no sense to turn it on, the laptop becomes unusable) I
squeezed the maximum on Xiaomi Air for about 3 hours, with an almost blank screen and all closed software except telegram and other little things. Even without a browser, with a browser in the form of chrome, the charge goes away immediately 2 times faster.
Maybe there are models that strive for the operating time of macbooks, but they already cost about the same.
ps
All of the above is relevant for the Apple MacBook Pro 15 2017 (2.8 GHz, 555) I have
been sitting on it for six months.
Prior to that, there were 4 vindobooks for 1-3 years each.
Happy as an elephant, worth the money (if you buy not in Russia: D)
pps
the last vindobook was Xiaomi Air with i7 with ali for ~50k.
is also quite a suitable option, but it gets very hot and the coolers are constantly noisy, respectively.

I once bought a ThinkPad T440s. It has an internal non-replaceable battery and an external replaceable one. Therefore, you can buy several external ones and change them on the fly. Or buy one big replacement. After buying a laptop, I immediately bought the most capacious replacement, the laptop worked quietly with it for 7-8 hours. But over 3 years, the capacity has degraded, especially after living in Nepal, where there is very poor electricity and constant switching on and off of the light.
I recently bought almost the same battery in Vietnam, it seems to be native Lenovo, new, but nevertheless, it only lasts 3 hours.
But in general, I concluded for myself that Lenovo came up with an optimal scheme with replaceable batteries. While it was new, I was very pleased. It was possible to work all day safely away from the outlet.

If there is at least part of the frontend, only macbook will help you.
It's not even about "classiness", it's trite to test work in safari

I use sony vaio pro 13, I have been satisfied for many years. Bought a macbook pro 15 and sold it. Sony turned out to be cooler, including the battery, and for the tasks that were set for it, it is many times more convenient, stronger and more practical. Now there is no sony vaio anymore, and there are no alternatives in terms of quality either. Remains mac
