Choosing a laptop configuration?

There is a problem with choosing a laptop. More precisely, laptops are selected, but I can’t choose from two options. The configuration problem lies in the choice between processor-video card pairs.
Option 1:
Intel Core i7 2630QM (2 GHz) - NVIDIA GF GT540M 1Gb (RAM - 4Gb (1333 MHz))
Option 2:
Intel Core i5 2410M (2.3 GHz) - NVIDIA GF GT555M 2 Gb (RAM - 4GB (1066 MHz))
In the first case, a more powerful processor, but a worse video card. I can't really choose.
Requirements - work Ubuntu 10.04/10.10 (I will not install anything newer before the new LTS) with a constant load of about 10-15 Chromium tabs, Eclipse + OpenOffice. All this in parallel, of course. As for Ubuntu itself, the Internet is full of information about Sandy Bridge glitches on some cores.
The dual block will have Windows for Expression and toys. Toys - WarCraft III / Morrowind / Arcanum and, possibly, The Witcher 2, which I have not been able to get my hands on for three months now.
Speaking of wine. Does it matter what to install - Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7? OS requirements line above. I understand that the Server is not intended for my purposes, but still? Will there be problems with installing some entertainment heresy?

If only for these games, then it seems to me that there is no point in taking the second option. 540 is enough for most games at above average settings. Including for the witcher (although the maximum may not be enough).
In terms of OS, there is a difference. It makes no sense to set up a server for simple home use, almost everything that is needed has been on the seven for a long time. What does not go, you can run in the built-in virtual XP. If I'm not mistaken, I even got Arcanum without problems on seven. I don't know about Sandy Bridge on Ubuntu, I haven't come across

Whichever is cheaper, take it.

I am for the first option. By the way, I advise you to pay attention to Lenovo Y570s. A week ago, I also took an i7.4GB, GT555 + SSD there. It seemed to me that in terms of price / performance ratio, it is definitely in the top.

Take it where it's better, because there is better memory. In everyday work, comfort will be more pleasant than 10 lost fps if there are more than 30-40 of them =)

There are no problems with sb on the 3.1 bucket) and install ubuntu 1104 - there is a normal gnome there. And the bucket 3.1 will be delivered.
By subject - take the first.
Respect for the arcanum) do you happen to have a version that does not crash in the house behind the forge in the capital along the main quest line? It was also possible to pick up a gnome in the team nearby.
