Choosing a casual camera?
So. wondered about buying a camera. Not interested in ultra-fancy ones, the main thing is to shoot (family camera). I discard ultra-compact cameras right away. Around $ 200 (I don’t demand anything outstanding). I stopped my eyes on the GE X500 for $150, judging by the pictures on flickr, the quality is quite good. I also found Fujifilm FinePix S2500HD, but in my opinion the pictures are less pleasant. Is there anything else in this price range?

I already had 5 Canon PowerShot models in use, I am satisfied with all of them, therefore I recommend it.
The price also fluctuates there, so you can choose at your discretion - do not chase after megapixels, it is better to choose with a large optical zoom (digital zoom ingor)
I would take this
rozetka.com.ua/canon_sx120_is/p144835/
$
199 10 MP / Zoom: 10x (optical), 4x (digital) / support for SD/SDHC/MMC memory cards / 3" LCD display / powered by two AA
batteries
A month ago I bought a Canon PowerShot sx 130 is camera for my girlfriend. A very balanced soapbox in the range up to 10tyr (I see no reason to buy more expensive). Of the pros: finger-type batteries, the ability to shoot in a fully manual mode (including focusing), a decent universal zoom of sufficient aperture, good stabilization, macro, 720p video, a stereo microphone ... everything. Not heavy, but not weightless. The fotik is universal, well suited for both the inexperienced and the lover of experimenting.
It would be possible to buy the previous model sx120is (it is cheaper and inferior in terms of characteristics quite a bit), but there was not even a custom order.
The word combination "casual camera" is associated with modern cameras for lomography . If you are interested in lomography, I recommend Diana cameras.
