How to adjust photo quality in Kodak M873?

Tell me how to set up the Kodak M873 camera? At 8MP, the photo quality is just terrible, the resolution is small. If you need a wide format, then you need to set it to 16.3 5MP
On a Chinese phone, a 5MP camera without settings - the quality is much better.
