Car radios as a development platform?

Along with SmartTV, there is another type of platform - car radio. There, as far as I understand, you can also upload your software and get new functionality. Who faced this direction or wrote under them? What are the SDKs for them? Can JavaScript and the like be dispensed with? Googling didn't come up with clear answers, but I'm not sure I typed in the right words.
Thanks in advance

Car radios are one of the most backward areas of gadgets.
And divide into 2 groups
1. Heaps of Chinese radio tape recorders on Win CE 5\6. Installed by handicraft
2. Full-time => proprietary solutions from manufacturers.
It makes no sense to develop something for the first, because there is no store or other way of distribution.
For the second, no one will give such an opportunity.
A more or less decent implementation (both in terms of functionality and in terms of the ability to write your own applications) - Ford SYNC seems to have an SDK for it . By the way, this is a Windows Embedded Automative
based solution . If I don’t confuse anything, then the whole GM planned to implement such solutions. Dig there

Well, specifically in my Chinese Win CE is. Accordingly, we are studying development for this platform.
There was no desire to change anything there - the navigation program is on the card, the rest, regular, works fine.

Look towards the QNX CAR 2 platform: qnxauto.blogspot.ca/2012/10/html5-sdk-for-qnx-car-2-platform-back.html
Many manufacturers are already testing the platform, and the SDK seems to be promised within the next couple of months. More information can be found here :)

And what is the ubiquitous Android forgotten?
In top models, it goes with might and main instead of WinCE . And there is a store (as a way of distribution) ;)… And what is the purpose? Are you looking for something for yourself, a loved one, or are you thinking about the direction of the business?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
