Can you tell me the ui options for student / student records?

Hello. I would like to be inspired by the options for solving such a problem (on the web) as reporting on students / pupils. The user scenario is quite simple: The
teacher enters the sheet section and sees a table in front of him, where the columns are tasks and the rows are students. In the corresponding cells, he can set a score. The last column is the final grade.
The thing seems trivial, but if you do it head on, then with the number of students ~ 60 and ~ 20 classes, the page starts to lag terribly when scrolling. The names of tasks can be long, if they are displayed in their entirety, then the page starts to look terrible (you can’t just show the serial number, the teacher must immediately understand which column with which task he sees) I want to be able to configure the list of tasks for display (in order to somehow decide problem with lags) and it is not entirely clear how to organize such a filter. And in general, it would be nice to see a nice design.
I would be grateful for any links, screenshots and suggestions.

@sim3x

If not optimized, then any solution will slow down.
We study how the page is rendered and force the page not to repaint

@pacahon

Thank you for 1 million As I understand it, lines are used just deferred reflow.
I found the site engrade.com, I learned on it that this thing is called gradebook Now it's much easier to search. :D
The saddest thing is that there are no demo modes on such sites and you have to register fake accounts. When I did this, the name lskdjf234klj was already taken :(
From Russians, I could only get to https://schools.by/demo
