Can you recommend an Android app for learning English words?
Hello.
I'm trying to find a good app for learning new words in English.
Started with LinguaLeo. It has its merits, but the learning process is disgusting.
Now switched to reWord. Much more like it, but not all.
Can someone recommend an application that he uses?
Thanks

https://ankiweb.net/decks/
where I bought a 14000 word deck. But the quality of voice acting and just do the choice of words did not really like.
But I liked Britlex even more. There are 5000 words of which 600 elementary and 1500 international are thrown out. Those. what is left is what is needed. It costs 190 rubles. Total.

But you were rightly told that just learning words without context is not very productive.
Another good way to learn words from books, for example, is
https://libking.ru/books/sf-/sf-fantasy/123910-6-d... you
write out new words in anki, for example, and learn. As a result, as a rule, the translation is not remembered, but the context when it was encountered in memory. It is easier to remember. But there is a problem with pronunciation.
According to this from the goals.
To talk, you need to learn some decks. And for reading it is better from books, there will be really common words.
I also use reWord.
Memris is good. From the application, basic courses of 6 blocks in British and American English are available. It's cool that there are words and phrases. There are media videos. Very nice.
To search for other decks, you need to go to the site through a PC. There are a bunch of them.
Another of the pluses in some decks is mnemonic tips added by different users.
It was correctly written above that it is worth learning only words in context. The best option is those words / phrases that have already met somewhere - in a book, in a movie, or which I had to look for in a dictionary on my own, because they were needed.
Anki, in my opinion, is already very outdated - there you need to accomplish a feat in order to bring in and teach your cards. But MemoWord is a great option. There, cards can be entered very quickly directly into the application itself, and Google translator and voice acting can be used right there. And the memorization modes are cool - you can train listening comprehension, or even include your words in a circle. In general, it’s convenient then that all the vocabulary you need to memorize is always with you - you can open it at any pause and repeat something.
