Can you give examples of microcontrollers?

I don’t understand where microcontrollers are used, I only know that an intercom is a microcontroller.

Microcontrollers?
Recently - a decent part of household appliances - all kinds of double boilers, multicookers, microwave ovens (those with buttons, not mechanical handles), in some cases even lamps (those that are controlled via Bluetooth, yes), probably even washing machines.
We don’t even talk about TVs, some boast of a “Dual-core processor” (!) (advertiser’s intonation)
Next ... Even home phones - and they can be equipped with microcontrollers (with a screen, of course; MK).
For dessert: Electronic clock. Formally, even simple types of Montana (retro) and those contain MK. Sharpened for one specific function, and not reprogrammable, but still.
And the relatively recent Sony SmartWatch (which is 1, which is 2) is generally built on the basis of STM32.
Pebble, by the way, also work on a microcontroller.
I suspect that AppleWatch, but there most likely, there may be a "thicker" processor.
Now wherever you look, all devices smarter than a calculator, but dumber than a smartphone, will contain a microcontroller.

The scope of microcontrollers is so extensive that it is impossible to list all applications.
In burglar alarms and access control systems, they are used in various automation systems: from lighting control in a house to conveyor control in production, in household appliances with program control or a timer.

Now the line between the processor and the microcontroller is very blurred.
At the dawn of digital technology, when dinosaurs roamed the earth , a processor meant only that it contained only a pure performer, and for its operation it required a set of external microcircuits without which it could not work, well, for example, for 580vm80, a frequency generator gf24 was needed and a bunch of others
. And the microcontroller had all the peripherals necessary for operation on board.
Now most of the manufactured processors contain a huge number of peripherals, because this reduces the cost of its use. And there are practically no pure processors.
well, for example, the same router has only three microcircuits: a processor (more precisely, SoC, consider a full-fledged microcontroller), DRAM memory and flash with firmware.
