Can the driver be removed?
Hello! I'm looking at the configuration on ESXi 5.5 now, I wanted to update the driver for RAID (MegaRAID SAS 9341-4i) but in the output I see this:
lsi-mr3 6.607.08.00-1OEM.550.0.0.1391871 Avago VMwareCertified 2015-05-02
lsiprovider 500.04.V0.55 -0006 LSI VMwareAccepted 2015-05-02
scsi-megaraid-sas 6.604.54.00-1OEM.550.0.0.1331820 LSI VMwareCertified 2014-10-02
First and last are these drivers? Why are there two? How to understand which one is used?

Based on this output, lsi-mr3 is used. How does ESXi select a driver?

works - do not touch
chose, most likely, because he is 6.607, opposite 6.604
The answer is
"There are two drivers because they are slightly different.
lsi-mr3 is a native driver made specifically for ESXi
scsi-megaraid-sas is a 'legacy' driver that is ported from Linux.
native drivers take precedence over legacy ones and are used by default if available."
