Can't Install Windows 10 Pro on HP x360 Specter?
Most likely the laptop model doesn't matter... The laptop came with the Home version... When I try to install Pro, the installer doesn't even let me choose the version. Can anyone come across this?

most likely, the activation of 10 home is tied to the hardware in your laptop.
when installing windows 10, it immediately picks up information from the BIOS and ...
I really don’t recommend you go there, but it’s possible that there is an item in the BIOS that disables this key.
Second option: admin hardcore (it is desirable to carry out all operations under windows 10)
you can use the existing DISM windows 10 pro image.
1. determine the index PRO-windows
appears in the disks connected to your ISO - let it be under the letter G
in response, you will receive information which version of windows 10 corresponds to this index in this file
2. overlay the found image on a fresh partition on your hard drive
3. add your OS to the bootloader.

.esd and .wim are essentially the same thing. The first is for newer OSes.
Let me remind you that this is an admin method and to solve problems when using it, it is better to have the skills of a system administrator :D. In addition, it adds this installation to your OS on the computer, that is, then you will need more cleaning, during which you will break something.
However, this is also a way.
Yesterday I struggled with absolutely the same problem, and also with HP, only with a nettop.
Tech support said that such problems happen. A specialist connected remotely and updated with his own means of some kind.
I bought the upgrade to Pro. If you are trying to put a pirate, I think they will not help)
