Can't figure out a PC problem?

There are several hard drives in the system, one for the system, another for work, the third for all downloads. Everything worked well, until one day disk 3 didn't want to be read, it helped to pop it out and plug it in again. However, now there is a problem, torrents, games through Steam, files through the browser do not download to this disk - everywhere there is an error writing the file to the disk. When you try to write files manually - it reaches 5-6% and freezes.
I've already tried formatting the disk to no avail.
It is not used for swapping.
Antivirus and other processes that could be related to the disk are disabled.
What else can you try?

check smart, if buzz mhdd drive erase, create a partition check
if smart is bad buy a new screw
