Can't create a virtual disk on a remote Hyper-V server?
Hello habrahumans.
I want to experiment with Hyper-V, I installed the newly available Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 in Dreamspark (that is, in fact - Server 2012 Core with the Hyper-V role).
I want to manage remotely with Windows 7 Professional, for which I put RSAT there and, according to the documentation, installed the RemoteServiceAdministrationTools-Roles-HyperV management role. Hyper-V Manager appeared in the list of available snap-ins.
In this snap, I add a server. Added a virtual network associated with the physical interface (so that the virtual machines are also in the same LAN. (By the way, it's cool that you can specify vlan there - until now, Windows has carefully ignored this, and wilans could only be configured with special Intel network cards using utilities.)
I add a virtual machine. Everything goes normally, until the moment you click the "Finish" button. A couple of seconds after this press, the following window appears:
The meaning of machines: V7-PRO is actually a machine with a seven running MMC; 192.168.168.76 is Hyper-V Server 2012.
Thinking it was a firewall problem, I tried to set it up for a long time, and finally disabled it. Did not help.
In the end, by experimenting, I found that it was not even possible to create a virtual disk on the server, not when creating the machine.
There is no domain. An "administrative user" has been created on the server from its built-in menu, which is launched for each administrator when they log in to the system. (Users can be managed through MMC, this user is included in the Administrators group on the server.) The same user with the same password is also on the seven where MMC is running.
The vds service on the server is running.
Tell me what am I doing wrong?

HVRemote is here to help.

To manage the hyper-v 2012 role, it is recommended to use RSAT for windows 8. When using RSAT for windows 7, the functionality of the 2008 hypervisor will work, so don't expect any special chips.
