Can RAID10 be configured from different drives?

Hello! I'm interested in the following question:
there is an LSI MegaRaid 9260-8i controller, 6 disks are connected to it, and RAID10
disks are organized like this:

there is a desire to expand the array somewhat by connecting there are a few more disks to it, but unfortunately it is not possible to purchase exactly the same disks as those already installed. but you can buy others, but smaller capacity. for example, such

Will the raid be assembled from this disk hodgepodge, provided that I put the same disks in pairs?
And along the way, what SAS expander is compatible with my controller?
Do SATA drives work normally through expanders?
Will this expander work?

@schnaps1981

you will have to make a backup this time
raid 10 will be created according to the size of the smallest disk, that is, in fact you will have 8 disks of 2, that is, less than 8TB of space, and now you have about the same volume.
any expander, but why the heck did you choose this HBA for me is a mystery
and sata work normally through expanders.
