Can NGINX proxy a connection to an HTTPS server using a client certificate?
Hello!
I have the following situation:
Some of the requests that get to my web server , I want to redirect to an internal server using the HTTPS protocol.
At the same time, I want my web server to use a client certificate, so that the internal server can be sure that it is my web server that is accessing it , and not some other.
Actually the question is - is it possible to implement this on nginx? If so, where can I find information about installing certificates and possibly an example configuration.

Usually in the internal network they try to simplify the architecture.
Have you considered the possibility of just making a secure channel between them? Let's say the same openvpn will encrypt all traffic. You can also use certificates to connect one server (client) to another (server).
It’s impossible
that everyone could implement vmen in middle attacks
