Can Material-UI Framework be used in production?

I choose UI framework for one project.
Has anyone come across the Material-ui project callemall.github.io/material-ui ?
Are there any pitfalls in working with it?

I tried it when I made a mobile app on Phonegap. On old android (4.0-4.2) the brakes are terrible, most of the animation and effects had to be abandoned. But this is more a problem of the devices themselves.
