Is it normal for my laptop to have an HDMI port that doesn't have a bolt-on attachment?

Hello everyone, I wanted to connect a monitor to a laptop.
My monitor has a VGA port.
The laptop has VGA and HDMI
But for some reason, both the VGA port and the HDMI port on the laptop look without holes for the bolts.
Will this be a problem?
Otherwise, tomorrow I’m going to buy cables, so that I don’t have to run a hundred times, I need to decide.
PS: and one more question, rather stupid, but is it normal that the monitor does not respond to the power button if there are no cables connected to it? And then I sat on the laptop all my life, did not work with monitors))))

And where did you see HDMI with bolts?

Many laptops do not make these holes.
Bolts are needed so that the wire does not accidentally pull out. If you suddenly pull out - not the end of the world.
Depends on the monitor model. Most often they turn on, and show something like "no signal", but after a while they turn off.

VGA without holes for the screws did not see. But the wire will stick, just not screwed.
