1) It is not clear why include a sass file with styles if there is styled-components. But they are also strangely implemented. In theory, a GlobalStyles is created and connected as a normal component at the root of the project, and each component wraps and / or uses its own stylized components. Also, if you style the material-ui components using styled-components, then you need a JSS provider for the correct css injection order in the head.
