Can Linux work with a hard drive over a network?

Good afternoon.
The bottom line is, there is a computer P and a laptop N.
The hard drive and / or its controller has broken on N.
P and N are on the local network.
The question is, is it possible to make N (linux) work with P (windows / linux) over the network, so that the operating system N is on the hard disk of P?

Raise a dhcp server, but at least on the same P (windows / linux), make a pxeboot image for booting over the network.
Further, for example, via VNC or RDP, you connect to a session on P (windows / linux)
In general, nothing is impossible. You will find many tutorials on the web using the keywords pxe boot.
According to this principle, the work of various kinds of thin clients is organized and quite widely used.
