Can incorrect memory overclocking cause freezes?
Once upon a mistake I bought 16gb ram with one bar (frequency 2666). When I found out what dual-channel mode is, I bought a second one of the same but with a frequency of 2400 (there was no other), I decided to set the same frequency in the BIOS (2666) by increasing the timing, after that I noticed that its voltage increased to 2.6. Could such low-quality "overclocking" cause failures in its operation? What programs can check ram for errors?
