Can I use a smartphone camera for video surveillance?
There is a main camera from a Nexus 4 smartphone. Can it be used as a camera for video surveillance in the house? If possible, tell me in which direction to look for a solution.
Thank you.

Technically this is possible. The camera is digital, it is obvious that it will be difficult to connect with analog equipment for video surveillance. To fully implement video surveillance using digital technologies, at a minimum, you need a processor for data from the camera and an interface for transmitting this data to the network. In principle, this can be implemented on a single-board computer, but you need to look at the specifications of the camera interface and the interfaces of this very computer, you may have to make an adapter.
