Can I use a (legally) non-activated version of Windows?

Can I use Windows 8.1 or 10 without activation? 8.1 pro is available without a key and is not particularly annoying after 30 days. period. And 10, the campaign does not require activation at all, I checked it just the other day.

Legal - no. And there is no "trial" period in the licenses.

5. Authorized Software and Activation. You are authorized to use this software only if you are properly licensed and the software has been properly activated with a genuine product key or by other authorized method.

The activation time is given for the trial period: downloaded, installed, did not like, demolished. I don’t remember about 8.1, but they promised to make 10 free for devices with a screen up to 10 ", so the Chinese have stepped up to stamp 9-inch tablets.

There is no trial period. If some kind of check comes and you have Windows installed without documents / stickers confirming the purchase, then even activation will not save you.
