Can I update Iphone 3GS to the latest iOS 6.0?

Please tell me, I want to buy 3GS, can I install IOS 6.0 and do a tethered jailbreak?
Will the phone slow down after that? Will I have SIRI?
Will I be able to do this update myself or will I need to contact the service center?
If you can do the update and jail yourself, can you tell me a detailed manual using the example of 3GS?

Jalebreak on iOS6 has not yet been released, as far as the first pages of Google suggest.
Siri will not be, as on the iPhone4.
The update is done through iTunes, it is quite possible on your own. I would even say easy - to press a few buttons :)
