Can I relinquish authorship and release my project into the public domain?

Suppose I have a project in the AppStore, GooglePlay, plus open source on Github.
Uncles in uniform come to me and say that the matter is important, they need a backdoor and access to personal data (which I do not save, but now I must save and transfer to them). I have no desire to cooperate.
The option to simply forget the password for the respective accounts is not very suitable, because. a lot of things are tied to them, my life after all. Yes, even go and then prove that you forgot, but you are not silent.
Is it possible to voluntarily waive the rights and responsibility for the project in order to have nothing to do with it? Of course, I will not be able to support and develop the project, but at least it will remain clean. And with a copyleft license like MIT, free navigation is guaranteed.

From the right to the source, we can easily as Ronald McDonald already said - the source in the open GitHub and GPL / MIT license. But from your running application without deleting it will not work. Source code and finished product are two different things.

What nonsense.
Change the license to the GPL and submit the project to the FSF.

Do not rush to give up rights, you need to refuse cooperation loudly, earn even more consumer confidence, well, PR, with all the consequences. Study the experience of Telegram, Durov managed to benefit from such an offer.
