Can I download songs and movies on the latest iPhone?

I read that Apple gave access to i-device storage. Is it so? Is it possible now to download movies, music, books (epub, FB2) and pictures to the iPhone by simply connecting the phone to a computer without additional programs? Is there an MX Pro video player on the iPhone? Are flash drives supported?

Music can be uploaded via iTunes from a PC (any), movies and books too, it's very simple.
Access to the file system is open, yes, you can download everything you want from the network. I recommend FileExplorer, it is more functional than the built-in file manager.
Flash drives are supported if their support is declared, I personally have one with a lightning connector.
