Can I be fired under the article for not meeting the sales plan?

Good afternoon!

I work as a sales manager in a large Western IT corporation . From the point of view of labor relations, everything is legal, there is a contract, there is a job description. Every year I get a sales plan for a certain amount. The job description (which is an integral part of the contract) says that I must fulfill the sales plan. Accordingly, if the plan is not fulfilled, can I be fired for “inconsistency of the employee with the position held”?

Please share your personal experience .

If they want to fire them, they will unfortunately fire them ... you can give impossible tasks (which, by the way, do not contradict the job description), or humiliating ones, you can simply reduce them, you can create an unbearable psychological climate, you can find fault with anything. Unfortunately, in many cases no court will restore.
Here a counter question arises: why should an employee stay where they do not want to see him? It is unlikely that even the reinstatement by the court will bring positive emotions to this employee at work in the future - they will “peck” ...

Not at the expense of sales, but there was a situation in the company when they asked a colleague to leave. The authorities then told the details of the epic:
It is problematic to dismiss a person in the Russian Federation just like that, to put it mildly. A person can, with a very high chance of success, win a case with a company (this is the reason why they are asked to write of their own free will). The colleague refused to leave and asked for a decent compensation. The solution was to create a regulation of duties for the specified position, such that a colleague could not satisfy him. He was forced to leave.
Those. can be fired for incompetence. I can no longer clarify the legal details (for example, what should be considered labor duties for this position), we must look in the Labor Code.

Wouldn't it be easier to ask your immediate supervisor?
And how did you carry out the plan before that?
Somehow, employees who ask such questions grieve, it seems to me that they should ask questions about how can I exceed the sales plan in order to receive a bonus in the amount of an annual salary.
