Hello! The main page of the site is made in the form of a landing page. On the main page there is a block with goods. There are only 13 types of goods in the catalog without categories. The customer asks what products should be shown on the main page in order to increase sales. Interested in your opinion and experience. I'm just developing a website, so I'm incompetent in this matter. In my opinion, it would be more correct to display the best-selling goods, but the customer asked to study this issue in more detail. And the customer must provide a list of goods, since the performer cannot know what is more popular.

It is also acceptable to place among the most popular several products that need to be "fused".

The very phrase "Most popular products" will play on the psychology of buyers.
But here you need to carefully "push" such goods.

if you look at competitors and the market as a whole, then basically on the first page there are sales leaders with a small interspersed, so to speak, of the remnants that need to be sold. for example, out of 10 goods, 8 are hits, and 2 are what you need to sell. This is all conditional, of course.
