Can browser extensions for chrome and firefox that remove ads contain malware?

I noticed that recently, when clicking on some links, instead of a direct transition, something like was slipping.
r.srvtrck.com-redirect.jpg
By googling, I found what it was. I started to install the programs recommended in the articles and scan. AdwCleaner did not find anything interesting, but Spyhunter 4 found several trojans, including RuJack and two others, and most interestingly, they were (according to the report) inside Ublock Origin, Adguard and Ghostery, respectively.

I took them down and the problem with r.srvtrck.com disappeared, but with what was left (Adblock Plus + Stylus + Tamprmonkey RuAdlist JS), the ability to block some ads disappeared, Yandex.direct again climbed from everywhere, in particular (Ublock, together with Adguard, cut off 99 .99%).
The question is, is this malware - if it is, of course, really malware and not SpyHunter paranoia - a component of the extensions downloaded from the store or were they infected with something after installation?
UPD: this is AdGuard Beta

@zooks

1. Why do you need two ad blocks? Leave only uBlock Origin
2. Suspicious icon with a green shield
2. Clean the system with Malwarebytes
