Can a router + HDD be used as a place to store large website files?
Recently the router was covered and I want to buy myself a new router. I will soon (hahah) complete the site and I will need a large amount of memory to store content (music). Since a VPS with a large HDD is an expensive pleasure, and I cannot buy my own server, I am interested in this assembly (Router + HDD).
Will the power of the router and usb 2.0 be enough for a large (50 - 100) number of simultaneous jumps?
If possible, please advise the model of the router.

USB is too slow for that. Take any PC and plug in as many HDDs as you like.
1) Do you have a static external ip? If not, exciting entertainment awaits you.
2) The issue of channel width. While someone is downloading something, the Internet on the computer slows down. And vice versa.
3) Reliability. no comments
4) Legality. Something tells me that you do not have licenses for the distribution of musical works. And at the same time, you want to create a site distributing music, located on your personal equipment, in Russia, and even at your home address. You are a risk taker.
If I were you, I wouldn’t suffer garbage, but would look towards either cloud services (the same dropbox / Yandex.disk, with a fantasy tension, can be used to distribute content even in the free version).
Well, either hetzner 50 euros 2 tb
But that's all before the first abuse.
Making your own content storages is no longer relevant for a long time.
