Can a domain be taken away in such a situation?

Good day!
So there was an unpleasant situation with the domain. In general, the matter is this: there is an English company with the domain name site.com. There is a Russian division with the domain name site.ru.
This Russian division profukalo domain and I bought it, and later posted the same products on it.
Now the Russian representative office is writing to me, they say, either give the domain for a penny, or we will take it away from you through the courts.
I want to know if they have the right to take away the domain? Do they have the right to take away a domain if it does not contain the same products, but something generally left? If the case goes to court, what to do in this situation? Well, who had to do with it anyway? It would be interesting to know how this issue was resolved.

I have never been in such a situation, but a million times sucked on Habré. If the company is called "site" or "website" (i.e. consonant with the domain), and is registered before you started operating on this domain, then the domain will be taken away. If the company is registered later, then it all depends on the "motivation" of the judge and luck :)
PS
I would give the domain.

If a foreign company has a trade mark "website" and it is registered earlier than your domain, then it will almost certainly be taken away.

I think that the fact that the domain expired is obvious, the author bought the domain, acting according to the rules of the registrars, without violating competitions and other requirements ... Plagiarism on this domain may force the court to act more harshly against you. The domain should not be taken away, since you purchased it legally, but it is better to remove the product

not strong in legal aspects, but purely for information - what was the goal of "intercepting" the domain? those. Do you really trade in the products of the company whose domain was "squeezed out"?
or just wanted to put a pig and cut down the dough on the lung?

After reading all of the above, do not forget that a domain registrar or hoster will block your site at the very first letter from the copyright holder. Then you will sue (for a long time), then maybe access will be restored.
I had such a sad experience.

For the future, if someone wants to buy or intercept a domain similar to a previously registered trademark, then the court will immediately take it away, and if you conducted commercial activities on it that fall under the trademark class, then a fine of up to 1 or 3 million rubles.
