Can a computer virus launched from VirtualBox take over a computer?

Hello,
I have some questions related to VirtualBox.
1) Can a computer virus launched from VirtualBox take over a computer?
Let's say I have windows 10, on VirtualBox windows 7. A supposedly infected file is launched on windows 7 in VirtualBox. Can you access the computer?
2) A purely theoretical question: What will happen if you put virtualbox in the machine, and also put virtualbox on the system running in virtualbox. Let's say 5 - 6 iterations. And so on ad infinitum). Obviously, the question is not difficult.
But how many such iterations can be done.
Thanks for the answer

Shared Folder with virtualbox + inattention = infected host system.

1. Only if the virus "realizes" the fact of its execution inside the virtual machine, then it can take advantage of some vulnerability in the virtual machine, in any case, the virus must be adapted to such tasks, which is extremely unlikely due to their specificity. In other cases, it will be as @SyavaSyava said

1) Possibly if VirtualBox is leaky.
2) Perhaps, but not with VirtualBox (give it hardware acceleration of virtualization). With bochs, this can be done indefinitely.
For example, there is a working variant - xen in which VirtualBox works.
