How it works at the moment:
At the moment, several regular PCs with the role of servers are used.
Employees 60 people All PCs are on Debian.
Perhaps in a couple of years an increase to 100 people, I would like the servers to withstand the load.
5 people work in the 1C database.
40 people work in the Lotus Domino database (documentary, applications, contracts, accounting).
The Client Base 2.0 program employs 40 people.
The Lotus and 1C bases are on separate 500 GB hard drives.
Two network drives, 1 TB each.
On network drives there are personal folders of users with documents, many large excel files for several employees to work in. The rest - the usual file-washing.
The task is to provide a significant increase in performance and fault tolerance.
Server virtualization.
Desktop virtualization is not planned.
In addition, we recently bought a server.

500 GB SSD Samsung
This server is planned for RDP.
I believe it will withstand a load of 20 people. But this is not enough.
In addition to it, we need virtual or physical servers for domain controllers, another RDP server, a file server, a server where SQL for 1C and Lotus Domino will spin.
Backup servers for all of the above (virtual)
I ask for your opinion, what other servers would you buy and how would you build the infrastructure?

Where does this assumption come from?
Your server is quite enough to pull all your users in rdp. (a question of disks and their configuration).

It is better if there is a separate physical machine with RAID 1 (at least) for backups, not necessarily powerful.
Подсчитать сколько приложений (максимально) может быть запущенно каждым из пользователей RDP, а так же сколько каждое приложение потребляет ОЗУ.
Подсчитать сколько занимают файлы в вашей файловой шаре, какой рост информации в день, неделю, и сделать прогноз хотя бы на 1-2 года. Как пользователи работают с ней, учитывая что вы собираетесь запускать пользователей на RDP то логично предположить что они будут все свои файлы хранить в ней, а значит возрастёт нагрузка на диски\дисковую подсистему, нужно примерно понимать сколько пользователей и как будут работать.
Подсчитать как часто и что вы будете бекапить. Файловую шару, SQL базы, настройки ПО и т.д. Какая должна быть периодичность создания резервных копий, как долго их нужно хранить. А так же подсчитать сколько места будет занято в течении 1, 2, 3 лет и т.д.
К этому всему добавьте требуемые ресурсы для работы ОС, гипервизора, виртуальных ОС (в случае их наличия), а так же ресурсы требуемые для ПО без активных пользователей.
Теперь у вас есть данные чтобы подсчитать сможете ли вы все ваши хотелки разместить в приобретённом вашем сервере или понадобится дополнительный.
