Cacti: run script after reaching Threshold. Really?

Judging by what I came across on the Internet - in the Thold plugin for Cacti, they intended to add the ability to run a script when the system reaches a certain threshold, as reported by the monitoring system. However, no data on implementation could be found. Are there currently any tools for this?
