C / H / S for an old hard drive - how to manually install on a modern motherboard?

Hello Habr. I have my grandfather's hard drive. The BIOS is sure it can store 6.4 gigabytes.
But the ancient signs haunt me. After all, it says on it that it can store up to 12.7 gigabytes of valuable information.

Of course, this will only happen if I install C/H/S properly. However, my motherboard (asus m2n-x) does not allow this - nor do other modern motherboards that I have access to.

Are you sure that the ancient signs are talking about 12.7? The general list, in my opinion, does not guarantee this - the label can be printed for all types at once. According to the model, what is it?
Generally speaking, after the days of ten-megabyte hard drives, I did not encounter the need to prescribe these parameters manually.

in the BIOS in the disk settings, this can be set, but if I'm not mistaken, Windows does not look at these parameters, but works through itself with the disk
