Buying an e-book. Which one to choose?
I'm going to buy an e-book, I choose a model. I would like it to support as many formats as possible and be easy to use. At the moment I'm leaning towards the Sony PRS-505. The only thing I don't like is the lack of support for fb2.
It is highly NOT desirable to have a TouchScreen. Everything I've seen with tachim has a lot of glare, which negates all the advantages of electronic paper.
Thanks in advance.

Kindle 3. There is FBReader, as well as alternative firmware with djvu support.
The PocketBook 301+ itself, but a newer PocketBook Pro 602 model has already been released
. I am extremely pleased with my 301, I would not exchange it for a Kindle. I boldly recommend.
To exaggerate, all e-books are divided into:
1. Sony
2. Pocketbook
3. With their own chips
4. The rest
of Sony are good primarily for their quality. They have an excellent design, build quality, more or less reasonable software, but there is no support for FB2
"Pocketbook" and "the rest" usually differ only in software. At least 301. As far as I understand, the hardware platform for PB, FReader and many others is the same, but the difference is in the software. Moreover, the quality of PB software is so much higher than that of competitors that it is worth any overpayment.
Well, all sorts of Kindle and Nook - their main feature is in the store service.
Generally. choose what you need more.
I myself - PB301 + - an excellent device.
I have a nook, but kindle 3 is better. There is nothing more to choose from. Kindle also has a free Internet around the world, auto-convert books to native format (you throw soap on a special box and you get a converted one)
Sony PRS-505 is a cool thing. I took this as a gift last spring, it works like a clock. The lack of fb2 support is easily compensated by the "caliber - E-book Management" program (under Windows). Stylish appearance, comfortable to the touch. a good cover is included in the standard set (if you wish, you can buy a leather cover with backlight). The only downside is the price, other than that it's a plus.
I use Sonya 505. Converting from fb2 to lrf - a couple of clicks - for the sake of quality and convenience, Sonya can endure :)
One of the conveniences - a bunch of buttons for paging allows different grips with either hand. Standing in transport - you quickly penetrate
+1 to bit's post, I also use Sonya 505. The entire collection is in fb2, everything is converted without problems to lrf in one wedge at once all the books. The reliable aluminum case is very pleasing, it cannot be compared with Chinese plastics.
If you like Sony, then look at the latest models, for example, PRS-650.
Advantages:
1) This is Sony
2) The Pearl screen (the new generation, which is currently exclusively installed in Sony and Amazon readers only and will apparently not be in devices from other manufacturers until late spring) - is more contrast and consumes less energy than VizPlex]
3) The screen responds to touches. Moreover, this was done correctly - no films, etc., are applied on top of the E-Ink, which could cause glare and at the same time it works by touching anything (with a finger, for example), while the competitive PocketBook 603, although also now non-glare, but requires the use of a special magnetic stylus for touch screen operation.
I use LBook V3+ . There is support for fb2, the battery is almost eternal, the screen is good, it does not glare. All the necessary settings are there. I can't even think of any cons.
