Buying a laptop in a store without a pre-installed OS. Smart solution?

Hello!
I am looking for a laptop for work and of course the limited budget is an important factor.
In stores, sometimes I come across such offers: a good laptop without an OS costs much (10 thousand) cheaper than a similar one with an installed OS.
In this case, the label says: OC: DOS. (a photo)

Tell me, is it the best way to save the budget in this way by taking a laptop without OC and then installing it yourself? Or more problems?
Thanks

Well, or if you plan to work under Linux, then it makes no sense to pay for Windows

Installing the OS is not a problem.
The main thing to remember is that piracy is punishable;)
PS: on ebay and Ali you can buy keys to Windows for 100 rubles, but this is also considered piracy, if anything.

An important point, if you are planning Linux, then first check if your laptop supports all drivers.
It's strange that the difference without an axis is 10K per laptop. But nevertheless, if there is the same laptop but with an operating system, then at least you will not have problems with drivers.

1. If you plan to install licensed Windows - so-so solution, since the pre-installed one can be cheaper.
2. If you plan to install Linux - the solution is normal, but it is desirable to clarify the compatibility of the drivers
3. If you plan to install a pirate - well, the responsibility is on you.

First, the difference in chervonets is very suspicious.
Most likely, with DOS they just sell a more budget model, see the configuration carefully.

If the laptop is for yourself, then yes, a reasonable decision, no one will look at what kind of Windows it is, especially since leaving a pre-installed home for yourself is like death.
If the laptop is for a company, legal entity / individual entrepreneur: if the company has free licenses, take it without OS and install the existing license. If there are no free licenses, buy with a pre-installed license or buy a license separately for the laptop.

It’s even worth it, the same model with and without Windows costs different money, and the difference is quite significant! Put 10ku and kms auto to help you, feed the Americans, who already earn even on pirated copies, merging your data for profit, I think no one has the desire. The best choice is of course a blank laptop and linux, but it's not for everyone.
