Buy HTC Wildfire or not?

Comrades! I want an android-smart, there is no desire to spend a lot of money yet, so I settled on Wildfire (in white). There are such questions (this is for smart users on androids):

  • After the purchase, can I upgrade the OS version to a newer one myself?
  • How convenient is smart on android (in particular, the above model) in terms of downloading music, videos, photos from a computer? is it as problematic as with apple products?
  • Are there any differences in the operation of the sensor in comparison with the same iPhone? (I have a touchscreen, the sensor is of course beautiful; I plan to buy a phone via the Internet, that is, I don’t have the opportunity to poke it myself).
  • Why are all NTS smarts so expensive, and the wild one and a half times cheaper? Maybe it makes no sense to buy it and it is better to spend money on something more expensive, but worthwhile?

and yet I like it, I love white phones.
I want to get a convenient, customizable smart, not bulky, inexpensive, and to please the eye! I would have used the Nokia 3250 all my life, but sometimes you urgently need additional functions - read (pdf, djvu), open a Word document, see a metro map, etc., and so that all this is EASY! :) well, so that you don't have to poke around for half the night to download an e-book, etc.

Wild is thoughtful enough.
The screen is shit when compared to Legend or Desire.
Upgrading above 2.1 is unlikely to be possible.
Convenient. Highly. His flash drive is mounted on a computer like the most common flash drive, if connected via cable.
The differences in how a touchscreen works with an iPhone are huge.
Wild is a budget model. Worth the money, of course, but nothing more.
If you live in Moscow, go to HTC Care on Novoslobodskaya and poke into it.

It slows down noticeably compared to the iPhone, there is not enough RAM.

no need to buy. I'll explain why. There was such a device. I also thought that a good solution for little money. Does not work. The screen is shit, brakes, half of the most necessary programs do not go. Stop your choice either on Legend or Desire. Buy abroad, for the same amount.
I'm on a Galaxy S myself.

Maybe it's worth looking at a much more decent hardware, and about the same price Acer Liquid or Acer Liquid E? ;)

Hint: for the price for which they sell Wildfire in the Russian Federation, you can get htc desire z on ebay.
The pros are obvious, the device is of a qualitatively different level.
Cons - the guarantee is not local, the charging that comes in the kit is not on our outlet.
Do not buy unlock codes, and if they give you a share, do not use them either, there were problems with them.
Do the unlock according to the guides from xda.

I read the reviews, watched the video, until I settled on the legend.

I considered various inexpensive androids, and as a result I took the LG Optimus GT540. Not bulky. Available in different colors =). Very smart, pleasant. Screen with standard resolution, no problems. I haven't been happy with it for a few months now. The price is extremely sparing, around 8 thousand rubles. At the moment, firmware 2.1 is available, 2.2 is being cooked on w3bsit3-dns.com.

WildFire is not correct to compare with iPhone. It's like comparing Zaporozhets with Mercedes - a priori the first one will be worse. It is more correct to ask the question: “Is it worth the money”? Compared to similar devices from other manufacturers, the "Spark" obviously looks a little expensive, but the HTC brand is worth the money. I held Optimus from LG in my hands - a clear feeling of a cheap Chinese soap dish. Although if there are no initial requirements for design and quality, LG will also go.
As mentioned above, the main drawback of this device is the screen. (a) it has a VGA 320x240 resolution, which is completely unusual for Android, so there may be problems with the selection of additional software and games; (b) the quality of the screen - mmm ... if it were a little smaller - the pixels would not be visible so much.
I heard that they promise an official update to 2.2 closer to NG, but so far Twitter and Facebook NTS_ru is silent.
If there are free 5 sput, then it is better to add and take Grace. And smarter, and more powerful, and a better screen ...

do not listen to lies about the fact that "half of the programs do not go because of permission." this is a vile lie. everything is going great. not in the market? - find it on 4pd. Yes, maybe there are games that do not work on it. so it is not intended for games (what is there about the graphics processor, or whatever - no idea. It’s not critical for me)
“shit screen” is generally tryndets, sorry. resolution is shit. and the screen is great. in terms of responsiveness, the wheelbarrow is not inferior to the iPhone (though a different coating, the finger slides easier on the apple tree). feel this unit. if you don't mind the resolution, take it. that's exactly what I did. and a friend on the same day took the legend. And it's way more expensive for us

I found variants of the Legend in online stores, but it confuses the EU and UA prefixes at the end, and those where UA bucks are 100 bucks more expensive immediately. As I understand it, this is some kind of binding to the country, if I buy EU, this will not affect the phone and its capabilities in any way ?????

I have a design and my wife has Wilde. blunts the screen response on the wild, some software is released belatedly and android 2.1. As soon as 2.2 comes out it will be easier. and in 2.1 you can not install software on a USB flash drive, this is the main problem.
permission is very bad. but I have both dezir and wild fire without a Russian guarantee. so the wild cost about 9K. design 18K the difference in price is two times, and the difference in usability is also almost twice.
But the designer has a huge problem - the battery is enough for a little more than a day.
