Remotely disable layout via javaScript?

I don’t know why this is so, but sometimes there are such customers who have difficulty with payment after the work is completed. That was busy, that ATM was not working, etc .... . Now my customer has disappeared, has not been in contact for 4 days. And I have already transferred the layout and it weighs on a certain site.
The idea came to mind whether it is possible somehow in the future with other projects to implement a JS code with which it will be possible to disable the verst on the site. That is, access via GET or POST. my_site.com?template=off . There are a couple of ideas but you need to think carefully and check everything.

Demonstrate the work only on your server until the full transfer of payment.
And how are you going to delete it after payment?
Say - Sorry, I put a backdoor for you, now I'll remove it?

Doing so is not very good. Other customers will find out that you want to do this, and they will think very badly of you. And other freelancers (those who are more experienced, at least) will generally agree with them.
When a freelancer takes an order, he has three ways to protect himself from frustration with non-payment:
1. contract (with an eye on the court)
2. prepayment
3. decide in advance not to be upset if they do not pay.

and here GET and POST, these are client-server requests, if you do not have access to the customer's server, then you will not break the layout in any way.
