Bug with displaying message topics in thunderbird

I have been living with a non-critical, but unaesthetic bug in thunderbird for quite a long time. Who faced this? Can this be overcome somehow? Even wrote to the support forum - no answer. By the way, the bug is displayed only with VKontakte. There is another bug - sometimes the subject of the message "=? windows-1251? Q? Auto payment? =" comes, such messages really come only from the Acadian informant, so it's not so annoying, but still. There was nothing like that in the bat. The latest version is 3.1.7.
