Focus on input line in Firefox

Actually, in Chrome, when you open a new tab, you can immediately start typing a search query. Are there ways to implement similar behavior for Firefox? Now you have to reach for the input line and click on it.

I have the Super Start add-on. Focus immediately in the address bar.

You can also press F6 (since version 12) or Ctrl+L.

Because of such trifles, Fox has to sit on Chrome ...

When opening a new tab (and 2 clicks on an empty space in the tab bar, and when pressing Ctrl + T), the focus is in the address bar. FF 11. Search queries from the address bar can be configured without add-ons

I do not understand too. My FX all my life, starting from the oldest versions, in a new tab, the focus is on the address bar.
Something with your settings, maybe some plugin is stealing.

Guys, has anyone found a way to make Firefox focus on the address bar without installing an extension? Is it possible to write something in about:config?
