Booting Windows 7/8/10 and Linux on a PC from virtual disks NOT VHD format?

Good day gentlemen! Brainstorming is required on a long-overdue topic, because there is practically no more than information on booting an OS from a VHD in Internet resources. So let's make the world easier!
Actually subject:
How to download Windows 7/8/10 and incl. Linux from non-VHD virtual disks, because there are restrictions on this version of Windows, namely, only starting with Ultimate and Enterprise there is such an opportunity.
The requirements are quite strict, and the issue is complex, but I think it can be solved.
0) Scope of the question:
a) PC -> HDD / SSD with NTFS file system (preferably) -> Bootloader -> Virtual disk (NOT VHD) -> OS.
b) The OS must run locally on the PC and not be thin clients.
c) OS should see the hardware as if they booted from a physical disk.
d) The OS must see the disk on which its image is located, i.e. herself. (preferably, it is necessary to be able to add a new container with the OS when the OS is already loaded)
e) User data must be stored on a real physical disk (D:\Users
)
PC. That is, on each PC, the above structure of point 0-> a) is required in order to reinstall the OS in one file in a way and preferably remotely.
2) Key questions:
a) What is the loader and container format.
b) Ability to remotely replace a container over the network.
Posts like: "Why is this necessary?" are not quoted. A solution to the problem is needed. Go!
