Boosting traffic to a site with adsense, is it possible?

Hello, there is a news site, naturally with adsense.
I ’m looking for ways to drive traffic, I came across simpletraffic.co [not advertising] , but they say if you have adsense, then we don’t recommend using our service:

Our service can promote websites using any advertising platform. But we recommend that you do not promote websites with AdSense installed because AdSense does not allow forwarded traffic.

How then can you safely drive traffic to the site and not fly out of Adsense partners?
